Keyra's year end tournament
Keyra's year end ball tournament was on Saturday. They started out in the morning at 10:20, which was supposed to be at 10:00. In someone's ridiculous wisdom, they decided to use Keyra's game to play catch up and ended it 20 minutes early with her team down 2 runs. The tournament was really terribly run in all aspects. Umpires that didn't even try to look like they wanted to be there. So, the lost both games in the morning. Somehow, based on the regular season record, and the first 2 games in the morning, they ended up playing for the B championships. They won that game easily. Keyra had a really good tournament, her only out at the bat was during the last game, in which I could see that she was getting tired. After the tournament, we headed to the coach's house for a swim. Then to a party at a friend's place, north of town.

Camping
We headed north to Bon Echo Campground this past weekend for a camp out. We haven't taken the girls camping since before Keyra was born. The grandparents have taken them several times and the summers seem to fill up way too fast for us to plan one out. We had 1 free weekend with nothing planned, so we slotted it in there.

If anyone is looking for a great little place to go camping that isn't too far off the beaten path. A friend of ours owns the camp ground. We are in the middle of an extreme heat wave, so we spent a great deal of time lakeside and swimming.
We took a row boat out fishing on Saturday morning. Lots of little fish but they were not biting the rubber bait I had. We tried to buy some worms at a nearby campground, but there was nobody running the shop. It has been extremely dry up here over the last month, so there is a total fire ban on right now. That meant no camp fire, even for cooking. So once the bugs came out, we retired to our tents to play a couple of games and then some sleep. It was a good, but hot weekend and I think we all enjoyed it, but I know I enjoyed climbing into my bed in the air conditioning when we got home.
